This is great , funny and familiar, although also painful ... I'm sure you're aware that you're not alone among many talented cartoonists and animators who are currently finding regular work very scarce to come by. I realize knowing that doesn't pay the bills, but at least maybe some comfort that you are not alone in this. You're one of the most talented people I know, so if YOU are having a hard time finding work , then I know it's got to be a rough time for all of us.
Thanks, David. I have read the same story recently on social media from animation pros. being so far away from it, I had no idea the industry was so bad. Hope things are good in the new digs!
Thanks! I wanted to do this traditionally, but ended up doing it digitally for speed. The brush is Kyle Webster's Kurtz Donut. Has a nice rough hand drawn feel.
I like the format! I myself use square panels on Substack, too. Just one thing: I have no idea how to best layout them if and when I want to publish them on paper. But that's for later.

Love this format Eddie!
Thanks Hugo!
This is great. I loved it! And your journey hits home with me, and told with such heart... and a really cool pen nib!

Nice one! Nearly everyone I went to CalArts with is looking for work.
That's what I have heard (or read). At least I don't have student loans to pay back. :)
Gorgeous art. Great story. Can't wait to read more.
